Egyptian Vice Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs Ghada Shalaby visited the Red Sea governorate to take notes on vaccinations of workers in the tourism sector against COVID-19. There she examined a number of temporary vaccination units located in hotels designated for vaccinating workers in the tourism sector in the province.
Shalaby was accompanied by the representatives of the ministry’s office in Hurghada during the tour, along with First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Population Tamer Merhi and representative of the Egyptian Hotel Association in the Red Sea Wahid al-Thami.
Shalaby said that vaccination of workers in tourism in the Red Sea and South Sinai are in full swing, in association with the Ministry of Health and Population, and the Egyptian Hotel Association in the two governorates. She lauded the efforts of medical teams in vaccinating workers in the tourism sector.
Shalaby also stressed the ministry’s aim to complete vaccinating all workers in tourism, in order to battle the global pandemic, and to send an assurance message to tourists about the safety of Egypt’s tourist destinations and to maintain the safety of tourists, citizens and workers in the sector.
