Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled El-Anani has directed for the Committee of Tourism Promotion Experts to prepare an integrated action plan for tourism promotion in Egypt.
The committee has been asked to propose advanced, useful methods for doing this, targeting the exporting markets that are lucrative for Egyptian tourism during the coming period, including the Russian market.
El-Anani referred to his meeting with the Russian Ambassador in Cairo, Çyurchi Borisenko, during which he affirmed the promptness of Egypt’s tourist destinations to welcome international tourists.
Egypt is committed toward applying health safety controls and preventive and defensive measures to make sure that the safety of citizens, tourists, and workers in tourism remains uncompromised.
The minister stressed the fact that the process of vaccinating workers in tourism against the novel corona virus, which began in the governorates of South Sinai and the Red Sea, is in full swing.
The vaccination programme is taking place in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Population and the Chamber of Hotel Facilities, until the vaccination of all workers is completed during the next few period.
